In January 2025 the Isleton City Council brought in Sectaris Partners, the firm of Adam Cox and Jon Kennedy, as an emergency city management team. The city was spending 150 percent of its revenue, carried roughly five million dollars of debt against 1.6 million in annual revenue, had already authorized a Chapter 9 bankruptcy petition, and was weeks from losing its insurance coverage.
The engagement was designed as triage, and it worked. The team hand-delivered the payment that kept the city's insurance pool membership alive on the deadline day. Bankruptcy was never filed. The city's debt fell by roughly a million dollars during the engagement.
